The Book of Colossians…

11

Colossians 1:11

I am back from my Encounter with God…and O’ my soul! What an encounter. I’m not sure I’ve done alot of positive posts here, of late. I forsee, though, and by the grace of God the Father, better things! I have been delivered from many of the trials all of my readers have so¬† lovingly endured with me, here. That is not to say that I believe I am so widely read that I should sing my own praises. It is, however, evident that many return for updates. I humbly thank all of you who check on me regularly! You are a blessing!

As things settle within me I will be better able to reveal them here. There is much work that was done in such a short period. Yet, I now know that God was preparing me weeks before I was even aware that I would be attending this retreat. God is amazingly faithful.

One of the leaders of this women’s retreat made a statement that I would like to integrate into my life…she said…” there is scripture that says Jesus marveled at their unbelief. Today we marvel at belief…at what we see God do in our lives, in others’ lives! We need to return to the place at marveling at unbelief…”

While reading the Book of Colossians, a loose assignment from one of our Pastors, I find that God is speaking directly to me! A friend who is following the same directions as I, has had the same marvelous revelation in her experience in beginning to read the book!

My friend is finding an odd sensation that she deeply loves others, people! It revealed to her that she did not think that she truly loved deeply. She is visibly moved and transformed by this. It can be seen by those of us around her! Physical manifestation of God’s Work.

I find that I am more tolerant…I read that God sees my diligent faithfulness! That He is pleased with me. I am blessed.

This is the scripture I will meditate on today: Colossians 1: 9b

“We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask Him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom.”

That is a big one for today!

I challenge and encourage you to begin to read the Book of Colossians, in the Spirit and see it as a letter from God to you…you will marvel at His love for you.

Blessings!
