Praising in the Midst of it All…

Praise with a New Song...
Praise with a New Song…

I was torn today with what to write today. I’ve been dealing with yet another layer of fear and anger.

In an effort to live the life God intended I have subjected myself to a mulitude of change at the hand of Father God.
While these transformations are in the end beneficial they are frustrating and at time excruciating! Yet, I reach for the goal of the prize in Christ Jesus.  So this is what I decided to write today…Praise.
Yesterday I recieved my e-mail scripture verse. Many of you receive them from some site or other, so some may recognize this. The verse sent was:
Psalm 149:1 ; I have taken it to verse 4.

1 Praise the LORD!

Sing to the LORD a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.

2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.

The bible tells us that God inhabits the praise of His people. I love just the thought of that.

The primary aim of the Book of Psalms is to let us know what God purposed Praise to be.

Praise is defined as the exhaltation of our deity. To honor and Glorify God for who and what He is, not just what He has done for us. Although that remains apart of what Praise is for. Praise naturally speaks our appreciation for our Father God.

When David, or the other Psalmists for that matter, ask for a  New Song, they are calling for a freshness in our praise ~ an integrity to the music and song. They are literally calling us to a Genuine Praise, as individuals and a group.

I am getting used to the fact that my God reveals and confirms Himself to us frequently and faithfully. Yet I remain in utter awe that He does!

This call for fresh and genuine Praise comes several time in the book. The Psalmists encourage more that just your routine praise. They are calling for an intensity that pulls at the very heart of Father God.

The Psalms call for these and more in these verses as well:

Psalm 33: 3- 5

3 Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

4 For the word of the LORD is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Psalm 40: 3 -9

3 Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

4 For the word of the LORD is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Psalm 144: 9 -15

9 I will sing a new song to You, O God;
On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,

10 The One who gives salvation to kings,
Who delivers David His servant
From the deadly sword.

11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners,
Whose mouth speaks lying words,
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood—
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;
That our daughters may be as pillars,
Sculptured in palace style;
13 That our barns may be full,
Supplying all kinds of produce;
That our sheep may bring forth thousands
And ten thousands in our fields;
14 That our oxen may be well laden;
That there be no breaking in or going out;
That there be no outcry in our streets.
15 Happy are the people who are in such a state;
Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!

Again I am compelled to tell you, my loyal reader, that I stand amazed that God confirms what He instructs us to do. All the Honor and Glory goes to God for this. His faithfulness brings me to tears.

Since the beginning of the year, 2009, God has urged our church to focus heavily on Prayer and Praise. Since before the beginning of the year we had begun this, we were all lined up to praise Him with our First Fruits, which most have been obedient to, those that understood. Since then it has been my understanding that we walk under God’s Open Heaven. Many of us, in our church, have seen God’s heavy favor in many areas of our lives. It is wonderful.

Most marked, though, is our praise. It increases in intensity and fresh anointing with each and every service. The presence of God meets us in that sanctuary and inhabits each note of music and song. He can be felt, He can be found there with us…in our words…in His words.

The experience, for me, is Revival…yet not your average Revival Tent variety…the Revival He, God, intended.

A Revival within the assembly of His saints, each time they meet. A Revival that remains within each saint when they leave and until they assemble again to Revive the Spirit of God. To me it holds the essense of the upper room. Since this experience has begun, new congregants have come through our doors, each service. People truly searching for the Kingdom of God…they are getting delivered and saved. It is utterly amazing!

It is so evident to me in that, since the beginning of the year I have met and begun to pray, almost absent mindedly, for strangers I meet, yet have consistant contact with. Like the boy at the local Sonic drive through. After a month he is at church when the doors are open and on fire for God!

Just Wednesday…it was the girl at the post office counter. For a year I did little more that say hello. She wasn’t unfriendly, yet she made it obvious that she wanted to be anywhere else. So I’d nod, say thank you and that would be it. Wednesday, she saw the churches return address on a mailing and asked, very concerned if the church was moving, she had heard it was. I said no, and she went on to say that she was moving to town the following week and we would see her soon…

I just pray! And God does all the work!

Just Amazing!

I will Sing a New Song to the LORD and I will Praise Him in the assembly of the saints.

Tell Me…Does My Quest to Health Include Cheese Cake???? :/

Wouldn’t you know temptation has come to my house!  fof

My oldest son is a pastry chef! Not only that the man can cook too! I am blessed that he remains at home at this time. Both of my boys are a tremendous help to me when I am not well. They are not always willing and happy about it, they do have lives of their own. But at the end of the day, they are there for this family!

Any way! The temptation. James goes to a home group on Thursday nights. He got ambitious and decided to make Strawberry Cheese Cake!  Be cautious I am going to give the recipe right here…this is a smooth, wonderful restaurant style cheese cake made right here in my out of date kitchen and old electric oven.

It was wonderful as only Cheese Cake can be! Imagine how wonderful the taste and texture would have been in a professional kitchen. Ultimately the taste and texture was outstanding…fresh ingredients, Plump beautiful Strawberries

Read the rest of this post before grabbing the recipe and running to the store…LOL.

Cheese Cake:

41/2 lbs Cream Cheese  ( we used 1/2 Philadelphia and 1/2 store brand to be frugal)

8 0z Sugar ~ creamed with cream cheese

9 Eggs         add in stages scraping sides after each stage for complete integration

6 Egg yokes   same instructions as above

8 oz.  Sour cream – add and scrape

12 0z. Heavy Cream  – add and scrape

2 cups Fresh Strawberries

Butter standard round cake pan and dust with graham cracker crumbs. Pour in batter.

Bake at   350°  for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Transfer to freeze to cool for approximately one hour. Turn onto serving plate ( cover with wax paper then plate, turn out. Place serving plate, flip, remove wax paper and return to refrigerator to firm up).

Here is the fun part! James put all of this together and then realized he was using the restaurant measurements! The product was 4 Cheese Cakes!

Now cut that recipe ladies right in half!!!

Here is the photos of the cakes that stayed at home…one fell, just like a souffle that heard a loud crash…flavor still outstanding!

The Quest for a Healthier Me…

I have been praying healing scriptures for the last few weeks.

My ills are painful and they effect my breathing as well. That is all the voice I will give to them.

I am currently on the quest to Divine Health! Knowing that I cannot do this alone I have compiled some scriptures to pray for healing. I cannot go wrong praying the Word of God over my body and mind in this quest.

I believe this is the only way that Divine Healing will be mine…if I continue to seek God, only then will I come into this desire for my mind and body.

Hopeannfaith has come to the knowledge, here on the childblog, that the pondering quote:  “To use an expression…, we must ‘preach the gospel to ourselves every day…’ Jerry Bridges, “Gospel Driven Sanctification” ~~ Is all too true! If we don’t seek the Word of God daily, we, in our humanity, forget or become complacant in our Godly inheritance.

There is a Single Path to Healing:

A Single Path

A Single Path

I would like to share with you what I have put together for my prayer time. I hope that it brings you healing and peace as well.

I ask the Lord for healing, knowing that this has been provided. Even knowing this I cannot do this myself, I find it difficult, in my humanity, to fathom that what I feel is not real. To help me to remember I reach for the Word of God. Remembering the scriptures that my Father has provided. His promises that tell me that it is His desire to do for me the things that need doing.

Therefore I pray, in humility and faith, these scriptures for my total divine healing. Thank you LORD for these, Your Words…

I will subject myself to the elders, and clothe myself with humility toward my fellows. I know that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. I humble myself under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt me in His time. I cast all of my cares upon Him, because He cares for me. (1 Peter 5: 5-7)

I will keep asking, knowing it will be given me. I will keep searching, knowing I will find. I will keep knocking and the doors will be opened to me. For I know that all who ask receive and the all who search find, and to all who knock the door is opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)

I humbly ask You Father to …

Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed. I declare I am healed. Save me, and I will be saved. I am saved. For You, LORD, are my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)

You say to me, LORD, that You bring me health, and heal me of my wounds – this is the LORD’s declaration – I will accept this in faith and obedience for my healing. (Jeremiah 30:17 a-c)

I thank you LORD now for this promise…

– [Yet] I will certainly bring health and healing and will indeed heal you. I will let you experience abundance of peace and truth. ( Jeremiah 33:6)

I thank You, Father that You know … Many adversities come to me, who You say is righteous, but You, the LORD delivers me from them all. (Psalm 34:19)I pray these scriptures, the Word of my Father, always in the authority given to me, by Jesus the Christ, through my Salvation. I pray always in authority and faith, knowing in my inheritance that…

No weapon formed against me will succeed, and I will refute any accusation raised against me in court. This is my heritage, that of the LORD’s servants , and their righteousness is from Me [God]. This is the LORD’s declaration. (Isaiah 54:17)

You instruct me not to fear, for You are with me; not to be afraid, for You are my God. You promise to strengthen me; to help me; You will hold on to me with Your righteous right hand. Therefore I will not fear, will not be afraid, for you are with me My God. You strengthen me and You hold on to me with Your mighty and righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

God assures me: Whatever I bind on earth is already bound in heaven, and whatever I loose on earth is already loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)

God reminds me: [Look] I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you. (Luke 10:19)

The LORD reminds me that I am already healed! He reminds me with past victories…

LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me! (Psalm 30:2)

Then I cried out to the LORD in my trouble; He saved me from my distress. He sent His Word and healed me; He rescued me from the pit!

(Psalm 107:19-20)

I know these scriptures to be Truth. For my God has assures me, yet again, through His Word…

For every one of God’s promises is ‘YES’ in Him. Therefore the ‘AMEN’ is also through Him for God’s glory through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

 I declare my divine health in Jesus Name, Amen.
