Praying Scripture ~

I have been dealing with major frustrations of late, as some of my posts relate. A friend and I have been diligent to keep each other accountable in this respect. We have purposed to control our emotions and attitudes in our Every Day to Day…we are doing “ok”.

Moe and I used a Prayer book that our Pastors’ recommended today:

Germain Copeland’s Prayers that avail much ~ 25th Anniversary Edition

Because we are finding our frustrations linked with our husbands moods and attitudes we decided to look for some scriptures to pray in regard to our relationships and the unity in our marriages; this awesome prayer is what we found!

In the name of Jesus, I cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. I choose to be a good, loyal wife to my husband and address him with respect. I will not be overanxious and intimidated. I purpose to be, by God’s grace, agreeable, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble. I will be a blessing and also receive blessings.

By the grace of God, I yield to the constant ministry of transformation by the Holy Spirit. I am being transformed into a gracious woman who retains honor, and a virtuous woman who is a crown to my husband. I purpose to walk wisely that I may build my house. Houses and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord. In Christ I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward me in all wisdom and prudence.

Holy Spirit, I ask You to help me understand and support my husband in ways that show my support for Christ. *Teach me to function so that I preserve my own personality while responding to his desires. We are one flesh, and I realize that this unity of persons that preserves individuality is a mystery, but that is how it is when we are united to Christ. So I will keep on loving my husband and let the miracle keep happening!

Just as my husband gives me what is due me, I seek to be fair to my husband. I share my rights with my husband.

Strength and dignity are my clothing, and my position in my household is strong. My family is in readiness for the future. The bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) I will not eat. I choose to conduct the affairs of my household wisely, realizing that wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Amen.

I found that I was not functioning or preserving my own personality while responding to what it was my husband wanted and need from me as his help meet. Essentially breaking our unity and closing the Open Heaven we have been enjoying.

I must profusely humble myself and give the glory of revelations to God.

“Teach me to function so that I preserve my own personality while responding to his desires. We are one flesh…”

I have been admonishing what I saw as my husband’s discouragement, instead of supporting and encouraging him. I have been assuming that he was not keeping himself spiritually healthy in the midst of our family and work frustrations.

I found, that once again, I was undoing all of my prayers by attempting to walk my husband’s walk with God. God is good! He led me right to the place where I would ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten me!

Recently God had honored my husband and I by putting unity into our spirit’s. Honoring our desire to walk as one in all areas of our lives. The result has been an amazing open heaven! Spiritually, financially, family everything has been being honored. If I could list just a few:

1. My son, who lives at home and has been unemployed for a few years got a good job with benefits ~ everyone we know who is currently and recently unemployed (the economy scare!) cannot find a job. But this son of mine, who has burned his employement bridges locally landed this job. ~ A God thing!

2. The oldest who had been laid off from his job and desiring a job, in his field (Baking), closer to home has an interview at the Bake Shop that he claimed as his own with God. ~ A God Thing!

3. My husband and I got our state tax check this year after 6 years of it being claimed by the state of Alaska for a legal mistake made that 2 states are quibbling over! ~ A God Thing!

4. I am not being paid to work my job since November, yet the mortgage is paid and the bills are up to date, on virtually 1 paycheck! ~ A God Thing!

That is my understanding of Miracles and Open Heavens!

It seems to me that the enemy is attempting to close our Open Heaven! However, as always, Christ wins. In my husband and my obedience to God and His Word, the Holy Spirit rose in me and guided me right to the place where I would find the solution for what I was doing wrong.

It is my encouragement to everyone that you pray scripture over your life and troubles. I have found, through purpose and diligence that it works immediately! Immediate answers from our Father God!

My Memory Verse from bible school this term is:

Ephesians 1:4

for He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight.  In love

This cannot be done without God. He makes us holy and blameless in His sight and in love…We must be diligent and obedient to His will. When this prayer I prayed says;

“Teach me to function so that I preserve my own personality while responding to his desires.”

I feel deep within my spirit that this refers to God, Himself; not just simply my husband.

Personally I will be pondering this for awhile.

Continually Looking UP!
