The Joy of the Lord…is watching your child Praise the LORD!

Just when I thought that I had it all together the Lord reaches down and gives you bonuses!

Now, all you mom’s out there know how it feels when your kid gets up and does something that makes your heart break with too much love and pride!  At these times in life you just know the LORD is giving you props for being a good mom!

My oldest son, James, 23, has grown into a Mighty Man of God. Recently his fire for the LORD was reignited and he is off and running again! But even before that I had noticed he had gone from performing in our church’s Praise Band to praising the LORD in song with the band. The first time I saw this it brought me to tears…there is nothing like watching your child in deep worship of the LORD, whether it is on stage or not!

Don’t get me wrong, I have seen James perform for the congregation in praise and worship to the LORD, solo…his talent is truly a gift.  To be able to witness it is truly a gift that I must give glory to the LORD for!

Anyway, James is on his first mission trip with Faith Covenant Ministeries and River of Life Family Church’s Cayman Team! They are doing street ministry and holding crusades at night! Tonight he called for the song he sang at church on Easter Sunday this year…My heart beat double, they may have him sing there! What a blessing! I only wish I could be there!  Here is the song he may sing on the mission trip!

In Grand Cayman until the 20th the Cayman team is reaching the young people of the Island with the message of Jesus Christ and Salvation…Keep them in prayer! This is a mighty team of people from our church that has just begun to reach the nations! They have answered God and said…Send me Lord…Send me!

Here is a link from a Cayman News Report of the Dance Team from Faith Covenant Ministries. It’s not my son, but it’s one of the teams he is with!

Welcome, I'm Andrea ... HOPEannFAITH ... I write and take pictures as a way of expression. These are gifts given by a loving and indulgent Father, to a headstrong and stubborn daughter, with much to say. A semi-retired social worker/secretary, I now call myself a writer. I've published one internet article and written many blog posts. However, publishing does not make one a writer, anymore than taking a box camera to the park makes one a photographer. What makes one who and what they are? Well God for one ... formed me before the foundations of this world (Psalm 139); and many, many years after putting away my passion for wordsmithing and picture taking He gave it back ... in droves. I am a culmination of my choices and experiences. It is here that my experiences color the world in print and color. It is my goal to reach just one soul a day with love ... encouragement ... understanding or just letting that soul know that they are not alone where they are today. This is about creating ~ all of it. Creating a HOLY and SACRED place where the ugly truth can be healed and the beauty of a moment or a tear can brighten a day for the experience. Why HOPEannFAITH? Hopeannfaith is my inner child, and she is maturing, as she should have done all along. She is learning all about how Faith fulfills Hope. She is learning how to live. HOPEannFAITH ~ the wonder twins all wrapped up in one, me. These are my Journey Journals ~ written and visual. I welcome your company. I welcome your friendships. My Journey is in the light ~ although I have and will share the shadowy corners and the dark ~ so you know that you are never alone there. If we hold hands in the dark, and we walk, side by side, through the shadow, we will reach the Light together. In relationship with one another and with the Light. Blessings.
