I find myself with time today because I am home sleeping off the end of a very nasty cold with sore throat. With prayer in thankgiving and much Theraflu …
I will conquer this.
As last week I find that the enemy is too interested in my walk with God. I pick a few key scripture verses to memorize and the enemy comes instantly.
If you read my last update you are aware of my initial road blocks. So I determined for the 3rd time to succeed at this MMM. So I chose to experiment with one of the suggestions from Ann Kroeker. At Productivity 501 you will find “How to Memorize Verbatim Text”. I found it interesting and was obviously in need of assistance with fitting this memorization task into my demanding and ever eventful schedule.
What I found was amazing. Not only does it work, but it worked without any real concentration on the instructions. Honestly I still have not read more than the first few paragraphs of the instructions. As I stated in my last post I put my scriptures into the converter, honestly I copied and pasted them from Biblegateway.com ! When I copied out the converted scriptures I found that I could already get much of the scripture from the conversion sheet!!!
All I can say is God intricately created us and our brains! It is amazing what our brain retains from a single glance. From this…
I can do this…I will cross out where I miss the mark or look at the scripture for the word I cannot decipher.
Genesis 11:6
The Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they put purpose to do will be impossible for them.
Amazing right. I promise you, I have put very minimal effort into these scripture with what I have had on my plate this month.
Habakkuk 2:2-3
Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, then the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.
and finally…
Philippians 3: 13-15
Bretheren I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us, as many as are perfect, have this attitude, and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that to also to you.
So I would have to say that this memorization technique truly does work! I will be using this again, I assure you! Not too bad I’d say! Not too bad at all.
So just some FYI: My plate remains heaping!
1. We are in the midst of beginning my Dachshund Breeding business. We have 6 rambunctious 8 week old Doxies and we are entertaining people who are interested in adopting our beauties!
2. Don has finally gone to a doctor about his hernia, an Inguinal Hernia, and we met with the surgeon on the 14th. Just a bit over a week after Grandma got out of the hospital. He is scheduled for surgery on my birthday! January 27th.
Many people have inquired if that upsets me. While I find it amusing that yet again the enemy is attempting to step in and ruin a day that should be mine and about me, I am grateful that I will be receiving a healthy husband for my birthday! 🙂 What better gift is there? Really.
3. …and whatever life brings along in my day to day life!
So off to bed I go…feeling the fever returning! Glad I got this update in!
Remember to enjoy your life…tell them you love them, bless someone and finally…be good to yourselves! God expects these from us.
Blessings my friends!

Wow, am I excited about how that first-letter converter thing has worked so well for you! You are almost word-perfect with plenty of time to review before the end of the month! What joy!
May things go smoothly in this busy, full season of life.

It excites me too! So often I want to remember a scripture that speaks to me and lost it somewhere in my day to day life. I really appreciate all of the tips you find for us. And your encouragement is invaluable to me.
Also, as soon as I can I am going to purchase your book. I am finding the consistent need to pursue silence and one must slow down to accomplish that.
I enjoyed your friend’s sight as well. Forgive me I cannot remember his name, it is the one with the photography.
You are a blessing to me. Thanks for being here.
Blessings.
A.
