Mornings with God and Tea~

Morning Tea & God

Each morning I rise very early to motivate my men to get up and begin their day. As I encourage them into their day, God encourages me in mine. As I brew my husbands individual coffee and my cup of tea [gave up all other beverages…coffee included for 42 days, Lent from Clean Monday on until Easter, although I believe it has become my preference.] I begin to pray in the Spirit. Thus begins my tea time with Father God. I have been doing this for better than a year now, if my calculations are correct, and it too has become my preferred time of day.

Morning Tea with God, sets the tone for most of my days. If the tone does not change, it has happened, I have scripture and prayers that I have hooked into, with God’s guidance, that day to use to improve things or to just stay in tune with God that day. This practice has greatly improved many areas of my life. It, too, has strengthened my Faith and deepened my walk with God.
From approximately 6 am to about 7:30 am, each day, even Saturday and Sunday I spend quality time with Father God. Sometimes earlier and sometimes a little longer. All guided by God’s will for me on any particular day.  When I am done I share my key scripture and words of encouragement on my Face Book (fb, from now on) status for anyone who needs it. My little way of evangelism, which God has rewarded me for. There is great joy in a comment that tells me I have improved or helped or just touched a friend’s day.
This post will be an explanation; in case you haven’t already figured that one out.  🙂   Obviously this one is being posted later in the day…and this may be the norm due to my work and church schedule.  This will work itself out as we go along.
The explanation is this…I plan to post my Tea with God each day.  The intent is to cultivate my writing and share the Word of God here, as I have always tried to do.
You see I haven’t posted in 22 days. Since two day after my beloved Uncle died. Many doors and things have ended in the last 6 months. I have been in the consistent flux of transition for about 3 years now. My church has gone through a Pastor change transition and now is in the process of closing it’s doors altogether, due to the financial crisis in this country. In these particular transitions the new Pastor helped our core group out of the caccoons we were growing in. Set free to fly in the loving sight of our Father God! Our assistant Pastor stepped into the pulpit and the anointing flooded the house with the Love of God and Freedom. Awesome!
Then…finances attempted to end us…now while the doors are closing the core group has not sensed an ending or a release, so we are in a holding pattern. The powers that be have stepped in and the church will transition; name and pastor, yet the core does not feel this to be all God has. So as we sit and wait on God, we diligently do not pay attention to what we are seeing, hearing and very definitely we are not moving on what we are feeling in the flesh.
Me? While some very personal doors are closing, I have begun to see other doors beginning to open, even if only hanging ajar at the moment. Loss has been the theme of these last 6 months for me. I’ve lost much, I have set boundries on many and I continue on my path, forward, not looking to the left or the right [as the Good News advises]. I wait on, listen for and move only when Father instructs. It is the only safe way to do this, for me. It is the closest way I, at the moment, can live my life closely in Jesus’ footsteps. We will see, I expect to grow and advance.
One of the things that have lacked in this 6 month time period is that I stopped writing. I began, again, just in the past week or so. However, some of it is on the dark side. I believe I am pulling up and lancing old wounds. Some which have been squeezed, prodded, uprooted, pulled on and lanced many times in the last 3 something years. It is my version of the preparation for a closer walk with God. The old must be removed and the Garments of Praise worn with the Armor of God.
This morning with God I was given Ecclesiates 3 from  BIBLEGATEWAY.COM  in the New American Standard Version. Much of my scripture here will be NASV, because it is the definititively correct translation. It is easy for the novice believer to read as well. From time to time I will use other versions though.
Ecclesiates 3
A Time for Everything

 1There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a (A)time for every event under heaven–
    2A time to give birth and a (B)time to die;
         A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
    3A (C)time to kill and a time to heal;
         A time to tear down and a time to build up.
    4A time to (D)weep and a time to (E)laugh;
         A time to mourn and a time to (F)dance.
    5A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
         A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
    6A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
         A time to keep and a time to throw away.
    7A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
         A time to (G)be silent and a time to speak.
    8A time to love and a time to (H)hate;
         A time for war and a time for peace. 9(I)What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

 10I have seen the (J)task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.

God Set Eternity in the Heart of Man

 11He has (K)made everything [a]appropriate in its time He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man (L)will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. 12I know that there is (M)nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime;

 13moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor–it is the (N)gift of God.

 14I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should (O)fear Him.

 15That (P)which is has been already and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by.

 16Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is (Q)wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness.

 17I said to myself, “(R)God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man,” for a (S)time for every matter and for every deed is there.

 18I said to myself concerning the sons of men, “God has surely tested them in order for them to see that they are but (T)beasts.”

 19(U)For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity.

 20All go to the same place. All came from the (V)dust and all return to the dust.

 21Who knows that the (W)breath of man ascends upward and the breath of the beast descends downward to the earth?

 22I have seen that (X)nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot For who will bring him to see (Y)what will occur after him?

My focus was ECC 3: 2-3 for today.

I have highlighted and embolden it above.

Obviously I am in a time of life and death, healing, uprooting and building up. My job, now a volunteer situation, has been put back in a state of grace. The grace is that my family has never been more financially stable, praise God! God is awesome, He will most definitely us the foolish to confound the wise.

The only true income is my husbands, the bills, again, remain the same with some increasing, yet we are okay. However, I need to contribute to my family and household. Otherwise I feel unproductive and useless, becoming depressed. Yet our diligence in faith and to our church and pastors God has rewarded,  blessed and confirmed prosperity and promises to us.

 Our reward, blessings and confirmations? Here is just one blessing testimony for you.

Last week I went to pay our gas bill by phone, which is how I always pay it. Like many dealing with the economy we are on the Budget plan to get through the winter season without termination of services. A blessing in and of itself. I punched all the appropriate buttons for the automated system and it kept missing, or so I thought, that last number of my account number and giving me the balance of what I thought was another person’s account. Saying that we had an $11.00 credit and the bill was paid. I repeated this to major annoyance about four times! I then hung up for the fifth try and asked for a customer service rep. She politely informed me that to pay the bill with her would be an extra charge. My response wasn’t even polite, though it wasn’t altogether out of line either. I informed her that she or a supervisor needed to make the system work, as I had had this problem in the past. I added, as politely as possible that I simply refused to pay the company and extra $10.00 to Pay My Bill.

With that she went through an extended version of verifying my account information, which I probably deserved. She then informed me that my account indeed had been paid on the 15th, a Monday which is not possible as Don gets paid on Tuesday! I had her confirm the account was in Don’s name and that there had not been a mistake made by another customer, somehow. She assured me by giving me the name of the person who paid, Donald, and the date, time and amount of the payment. Now while Don assured me that he DID NOT pay the bill, we were beginning to believe we might know who did…A blessing shared with the core group at church!

So the point?, you might be begging for at this point.

 I intend to share my Morning Tea and God sessions with everyone here.  To cultivate the writing that God returned and impressed upon me could be my source of income. He also returned to me my photography, which I use to illustrate my words at times. I post some here, others on my child blog which one can reach by my sidebar, but most on Deviant Art

, where it can be sold. Wish me luck…I hope to be a blessing with all of this.

Meet you here in the AM with my tea…God is coming are you?

Welcome, I'm Andrea ... HOPEannFAITH ... I write and take pictures as a way of expression. These are gifts given by a loving and indulgent Father, to a headstrong and stubborn daughter, with much to say. A semi-retired social worker/secretary, I now call myself a writer. I've published one internet article and written many blog posts. However, publishing does not make one a writer, anymore than taking a box camera to the park makes one a photographer. What makes one who and what they are? Well God for one ... formed me before the foundations of this world (Psalm 139); and many, many years after putting away my passion for wordsmithing and picture taking He gave it back ... in droves. I am a culmination of my choices and experiences. It is here that my experiences color the world in print and color. It is my goal to reach just one soul a day with love ... encouragement ... understanding or just letting that soul know that they are not alone where they are today. This is about creating ~ all of it. Creating a HOLY and SACRED place where the ugly truth can be healed and the beauty of a moment or a tear can brighten a day for the experience. Why HOPEannFAITH? Hopeannfaith is my inner child, and she is maturing, as she should have done all along. She is learning all about how Faith fulfills Hope. She is learning how to live. HOPEannFAITH ~ the wonder twins all wrapped up in one, me. These are my Journey Journals ~ written and visual. I welcome your company. I welcome your friendships. My Journey is in the light ~ although I have and will share the shadowy corners and the dark ~ so you know that you are never alone there. If we hold hands in the dark, and we walk, side by side, through the shadow, we will reach the Light together. In relationship with one another and with the Light. Blessings.
