” … Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
– Mark 1:14b-15
The time has come …
God has come near! Repent and Believe!
Repent … to change one’s mind; to turn from sin.
Believe … to have a firm faith; to have a firm conviction as to the goodness [of something].
The Kingdom of God has come near! … ?
The time has come! If you are reading this blog, then you are on the search or journey for a deeper relationship with God the Father.
The time is now! If you are reading this post, then in my belief, my understanding of God; You are here for “such a time as this”; which is a common quote of Christians gleaned from the book of Esther. Her cousin Malachi encouraged Esther to action with these words; to look at herself in the reference of God’s plan and why God chose her to save her people.
Your time has come … You are here now, reading this!
Think of yourself as a nation … an individual kingdom where the King resides. All of this … all of it … simply means that Jesus came to testify to the truth … and the truth is You are the Kingdom of God in its earthly form.
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
– John 18:37
The truth that God loves His children … He has come nearer than a lover, closer than a brother. God has come into us … the kingdom is within us … we are His realm, from where He reigns. He speaks through us, He teaches through us, He loves through us!
If God is as close as the cells that give us life … are we not compelled to repent and believe …
How do we know God is within us?
Do you love? … Of course you do! Then God is within you!
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”.
– 1 John 4:8
If you love, God is in you … God has come near. He is the beating of your very heart!
The bible says that when we come alongside God; when we are in His will, He comes alongside us! The scripture that inspired this post … says God has already come near … has already come alongside us!

Do you enjoy this closeness, this intimacy with God in your life?
