One Page at a Time.

one page, one story, one life.

Sunday Healing :)

Our church had services in a local park today and it was awesome. One of our best special services ever, I think. It began cold, very cold … but then we took the tables out into the sun and held service. All about Jesus and His miracle healings.

We discussed the woman who was healed simply by having the faith that touching his garment would heal her.

We discussed his raising of Lazarus and the boy who rose from His grave simply because He proclaimed “I AM”.

People just got healed in Jesus’ presence … at the sound of Him saying “I am willing to heal”.

The leper said: If you will, you can. Jesus answered, I will. Mark 1:41

All by faith. Just the simplicity of the faith God put in them.

The people were fully convinced that God wanted to heal them. There was no doubt in their minds that God could do what He said would do.

So today … at the VERY end of today … I just want to give you some scriptures with the Promise of God to heal. I want you (US) to be fully convinced that God WANTS to heal us and that it never was or is God’s will for ANYONE to be sick.

Once fully convinced of this TRUTH, we will receive our healing. Our KNOWING God’s will concerning illness gives us the foundation for perfect, HIS perfect faith to act in our lives.

I will take sickness away from you. The number of your days I will fulfill. Exodus 23:25-26

I am the Lord who heals you. Exodus 15:26

Notice that these promises were spoken before Jesus actually came to save us! Isn’t that awesome! Even before God found it necessary to send us a Savior to reconcile us back to Him he was promising our healing! And His word remains true today … because God is not a man that He should lie!

There has not failed one word of all his good promise. 1 Kings 8:56

For ever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

When man is not honest and the world is deceitful; God alone cannot and will not lie to us!

He is not willing that any should perish. 2 Peter 3:9

Welcome, I'm Andrea ... HOPEannFAITH ... I write and take pictures as a way of expression. These are gifts given by a loving and indulgent Father, to a headstrong and stubborn daughter, with much to say. A semi-retired social worker/secretary, I now call myself a writer. I've published one internet article and written many blog posts. However, publishing does not make one a writer, anymore than taking a box camera to the park makes one a photographer. What makes one who and what they are? Well God for one ... formed me before the foundations of this world (Psalm 139); and many, many years after putting away my passion for wordsmithing and picture taking He gave it back ... in droves. I am a culmination of my choices and experiences. It is here that my experiences color the world in print and color. It is my goal to reach just one soul a day with love ... encouragement ... understanding or just letting that soul know that they are not alone where they are today. This is about creating ~ all of it. Creating a HOLY and SACRED place where the ugly truth can be healed and the beauty of a moment or a tear can brighten a day for the experience. Why HOPEannFAITH? Hopeannfaith is my inner child, and she is maturing, as she should have done all along. She is learning all about how Faith fulfills Hope. She is learning how to live. HOPEannFAITH ~ the wonder twins all wrapped up in one, me. These are my Journey Journals ~ written and visual. I welcome your company. I welcome your friendships. My Journey is in the light ~ although I have and will share the shadowy corners and the dark ~ so you know that you are never alone there. If we hold hands in the dark, and we walk, side by side, through the shadow, we will reach the Light together. In relationship with one another and with the Light. Blessings.

  1. Thanks for the reminder that God is always able.

  2. I love this … this part of the bible is one of my favorite stories about how God heals. I love how you point out scriptures as a part of your writing … awesome 🙂

    • Thanks Karen! I’ve come to that place in my walk with God that scripture truly bubbles up in every area of my life: my writing and my conversation! It’s truly amazing that when we put the word into our hearts, truly absorb the enormity (as much as our human limits can allow) of it’s truth that it truly does rise to each occasion to answer our every question.
It’s how God has lead me to write. =)
